Cardiovascular Health for At-Risk PopulationsCardiovascular Health for At-Risk Populations

This course focuses on the cardiovascular risk for various at-risk populations. Appropriate for nurses and other healthcare providers. There are 2.25 hrs CEs for Nursing (ANCC) available.   

This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Alabama State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation for 2.25 contact hours.

To be eligible for the nursing continuing education credit(s), the learner must complete each portion of this educational course.  The continuing education credits are valid for this course through 04/25/2021..

     All of the following educational activities must be completed:

  • Read the Cardiovascular Health for At-Risk Populations BPIP (80 minutes)
  • Watch the Race/Ethnicity Cardiovascular Risk Factors (10 minutes)
  • Complete the e-Learn course and activities (25 minutes) 
  • Evaluation and post-test (15 minutes)

Objectives

After this course, the learner will:  

  1. Identify the incidence of and risk factors for cardiovascular disease in selected at-risk populations
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of CVH issues in selected at-risk populations
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of resources to assist individuals in selected at-risk populations with CVH issues
